In 1985, I founded the MaxSea company with Gregor Céméli on one simple idea: the personal computer would deeply change the way of sailing.
Today MaxSea navigation software is available in 13 languages and is used to navigate on every one of the world's oceans and seas. MaxSea products are installed on more than 55,000 boats and used by yachtsmen, skippers, fishermen and marine professionals alike.
Building the future of navigation is our reason for being.
We have progressively integrated all dimensions of "virtual reality” into our products, from charting, to satellite photos, to our innovative PhotoFusion, and our revolutionary 3D rendering of land and sea floor bottoms. Since 2004, our partnership with FURUNO Electric Company (FEC) of Japan has made it possible to optimize the integration of this “virtual reality”: with radar, sonar, and cameras, etc.
MaxSea continues to innovate with through enhancements to charting and customization of user preferences, development of shore-based applications, improvements to usability, integration of community experiences shared via the Internet, development of user friendly workspaces. These are many of the ways we help you excel as a marine professional or safely enjoy your passion for recreational boating, sailing or yachting.
Our goal is to provide all boaters, sailors and mariners around the world with our many years of experience, and work with you to contribute to the ever changing field of marine navigation.
There are great new opportunities ahead, and we look forward to MaxSea joining you on your future voyages.
May you always have fair winds, following seas, and easy navigating with MaxSea Time Zero.
